CSAG2Unified entry for genes CSAG2, CSAG3B (nearly-identical copies)
The two members of the CSAGE family are located at Xq28.
CSAG2 has been reported to be expressed in normal testis, prostate and spleen, and in esophageal, gastric, hepatobiliary, lung and melanocytic cancers at the mRNA level. CSAG2 has been reported to be expressed in ovarian cancer at the protein level.
Spontaneous cellular, but no humoral immune responses against CSAG2 have been detected in cancer patients
The function of CSAG2 is unknown, but it has been implicated in drug resistance.
