Protein function and interaction
Calreticulin is a Ca(2+)-binding chaperone localized mainly in the endoplasmic/sarcoplasmic reticulum in all higher organisms, involved in over 40 intra and extracellular processes, such as protein folding and Ca(2+) signaling (Persson et al., 2002 PMID: 12384296).
