Protein function and interaction
TFDP3 binds to E2F proteins and functions as a negative regulator, inhibiting E2F-mediated transcriptional activation. Ectopic expression of TFDP3 impairs cell cycle progression from G(1) to S phase. (Tian et al., 2007 PMID: 17632080; Qiao et al., 2007 PMID: 17062573).
