Protein function and interaction
Function unkown.NY-ESO-1 interacts with the MHD (MAGE homology domain) of MAGE-C1 (Cho et al, 2006). Cartron et al., 2012 (PMID:23312906) showed that histone deacetylase (HDAC1), two DNA methyltransferases (Dnmt3b and Dnmt1) and the histone methyltransferase G9a work in a sequential process of multiprotein complexes to promote the epigenetic regulation of the NY-ESO1 gene.
